Summary of Practice
John's primary area of practice is litigation of business disputes, real property disputes, contract disputes, employment disputes, trust and probate disputes and harassment. Since 1980, John has litigated hundreds of matters in court and in arbitration proceedings and has resolved many matters through settlement conferences and mediations. John's litigation clients have included the Santa Cruz Medical Foundation, the Santa Cruz Sentinel, The Holcomb Corporation and Soquel Creek Water District.
John also provides consultation to clients in contract formation and employment related matters.
John has years of experience in courts representing clients in injunction and temporary restraining order proceedings.
Professional Organizations
John has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1980 and is an inactive member of the State Bar of Washington. In addition, John is a member of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association and the Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association.
Community Involvement
John has served the Santa Cruz County Superior Court as a settlement conference judge for over 10 years and is a Special Master for the State of California Bar.
John has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Capitola/Soquel Little League, the Mid-County Youth Basketball League, and G-Ball (Girls' Basketball), and has coached teams in area little leagues, basketball leagues, soccer leagues and junior high schools since 1985.
